Fun Friday Finds: Indian Summer

By Sharon Parker

According to the various definitions I found when I googled "Indian summer," it's a period of unusual and unseasonal warm, dry, sunny weather in fall.

But I have to take issue with this whole "unusual" and "unseasonal" bit — I have a hard time recalling a fall when we didn't have a lovely spell of mild sunny weather sometime after the first hard frost (which is how I thought it was defined).

Unusual or not, here in the northland we sure are enjoying this prolonged and colorful Indian summer.

Carry on!
