Well! It's usually the case that January makes up for being the coldest month by also being the sunniest one (of winter), but Minnesota seems to be trying to imitate Seattle these days. Not that there's anything wrong with Seattle (I did enjoy eating fresh local apples one January when my daughter and I were doing a college visit there.)
But, cheer up! Once this dreary rain stops falling, the temperatures will drop precipitously and the clouds will move back to the Pacific Northwest where they belong, and we'll have our bitter cold and sunshine yet. I can hardly wait!
